Multi Instrumentalist’s Ben Locket and John Roffe-Ridgard aka Tala Vala release their much-anticipated debut album of deep lo-fi groove soundscapes with strings and brass adding weight to the eight tracks. Recorded on 2 inch tape, mixed fully analogue and combining experimental recording methods, Tala Vala bridge marginalised genres with synths, brass and strings, jagged guitars and primal percussion. Mixed by Jake Jackson (Nick cave & Warren Ellis, Mica Levi’s Under the Skin).
